How Much Does Professional Window Cleaning Cost in Minnesota?
The honest answer for most Twin Cities single-family homes: $150 to $400 for a professional interior + exterior window cleaning.
That's a wide range, so here's what actually moves the number.
What drives window cleaning cost
- Number of panes. Most companies (including us) price per pane or per window, not per hour. A 20-window rambler costs less than a 45-window two-story.
- Interior + exterior vs. exterior only. Exterior only is usually 55–65% of a full clean. Interior adds detail work — pulling blinds, wiping sills, moving small furniture.
- Screen removal and cleaning. Screens brushed and rinsed usually add $2–$4 per screen.
- Storm windows or specialty glass. Old storms with the extra pane, French windows, and skylights all take extra time.
- Hard-water stains, paint overspray, construction cleanup. These aren't "cleaning" — they're restoration, and they're priced separately.
- Height and access. A walkout basement with a 3-story wall behind it costs more than a single-story ranch on flat ground.
What you should get for that price
- Every pane hand-detailed inside and out
- Frames and sills wiped down
- Screens brushed off (or rinsed if included)
- No streaks, no missed corners, no water on your hardwood
Ways to save
- Bundle with a house wash or gutter cleaning. Most companies discount 10–15% when we're already at the property.
- Book in the shoulder season (late April, early October). Peak summer schedules fill up and prices firm up.
- Do interior yourself, hire out exterior. Interior is easy on a folding chair. Exterior means ladders, and that's where most DIY jobs go sideways.
